Employee volunteering

At LinkedIn, our employees are the champions who bring our global impact efforts to life. Employee involvement can range from participating in LinkedIn Coaches events mentoring job seekers one-on-one to leadership roles owning local nonprofit partnerships and event programming to serving on nonprofit boards.

In 2021, employee leads in 35+ offices held over 500 volunteer events, engaging thousands of their colleagues.

Employee giving

We encourage our employees to give and volunteer by matching their individual charitable donations 1:1 up to $15,000* per year. This benefit can either be used to match donations, or can be unlocked with volunteer time at a rate of $10* for every hour logged.

Employees can also set up fundraising campaigns using LinkedIn’s giving platform to support nonprofit programs and their communities. Fundraisers can be shared with colleagues in every LinkedIn office around the world and externally to friends or family on social media.

Note that contributions made by friends and family outside of LinkedIn are not eligible for our match.

Employee resource groups (ERGs) are a vital part of LinkedIn’s culture. They create community for underrepresented groups, foster belonging, connect employees, and offer ways to help nonprofits.
