Meet our FY23 grant partners
Mentor Together
India’s first and largest youth mentorship organisation, empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through mentorships that help them access future education, training, and meaningful jobs.
Since 2019, LinkedIn Social Impact has supported the development of “Mentor To Go,” a digital mentoring platform available in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, and Kannada that allows university students across India to access career mentorship from trained and vetted professionals, as well as self-learning resources.
27,000+
To date, 27,000+ mentors and mentees have joined the Mentor To Go platform and 35 companies have incorporated the programme into their CSR efforts, encouraging employees to volunteer as mentors.
The governments of Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra have also taken Mentor To Go to students as part of their higher education work-readiness activities.
Nabet India
A Gurugram-based nonprofit that is working for the employment and empowerment of people with disabilities, the transgender community, and other underserved groups in India by providing skills-based training and bespoke programmes addressing job readiness.
LinkedIn partnered with Nabet India to support the creation of a skills development project for young people with disabilities. Participants gain in-demand skills in IT and ITES, as well as job readiness skills, to help them overcome the barriers they face in accessing education and employment opportunities.
1,500+
So far, 1,500+ young people have gone through the project’s various vocational training courses.
NIIT Foundation
A not-for-profit educational society that was established in 2004 by the promoters of NIIT. With skill development centres in both urban and rural areas, as well as Hole-in-the-Wall Learning Stations, NIIT Foundation seeks to bridge the digital divide and teach employable skills to underserved communities across India.
LinkedIn partners with NIIT Foundation to provide courses in Cybersecurity and the Internet of Things to young people from these communities.
Since the project is also supported by LinkedIn’s flagship Coaches programme, participants further benefit from the industry expertise of LinkedIn engineers.
The/Nudge Institute
An action institute that works with governments, markets, and civil society to create livelihood opportunities at scale and build societal resiliency against economic shocks. Over the past five years, the institute’s livelihood programs have positively impacted 10,000+ youth across India.
The/Nudge partnered with LinkedIn to pilot a mentorship offering under its Future Perfect programme. Called Placement Coach, the project provides underserved young people with three weeks of 1:1 mentoring to boost their resilience and employability. In the pilot cohort, 81% of participants had a monthly family income of INR 20K (USD $250), and 74% came from marginalized SC/ST/OBC backgrounds.
Learnings from the pilot will be used to inform further scaling, including adjustments that were made to reflect the changing aspirations of young people as a result of COVID-19.
70%
70% of youth who entered the program at the first level of English in the CEFR demonstrated improved language ability, graduating from the program with a 0.5 level jump on CEFR scale.

LinkedIn’s partnership with Samhita helps the organisation provide women micro-entrepreneurs and job seekers with technical, financial, and digital skills.

In total, 5,800 women have benefitted from this programme, including both existing and aspiring women micro-entrepreneurs and job seekers who gained critical job readiness skills.
